Since 2018, the Landwirtschaftliche Rentenbank has financially supported the development of a technical, content and organizational concept for an international harmonization of personal certification in the agri and food sector. This is done for the example of the proof of expertise for the use of anaesthetics and narcotics by non-veterinary practitioners. Based upon the findings, the Landwirtschaftliche Rentenbank and the initiative QVIREA – started in 2019 – support further development of digitalization of education offerings in this field.

A short follow-up project seeks to support further education in the agricultural sector and the consulting of animal keeping enterprises by using latest digital technologies in an efficient and close to practice oriented way. Based upon the prework of project partners, screenplays shall be made for 3D film sequences including technical points of contact for the use of VR (virtual reality) and AR (augmented reality). Furthermore, a schooling program shall be set up, developed and tried which includes the testing of the teaching of competences.

Partners of the project

Coordination: EQAsce; partners: GENO Akademie, enterprise AnimaRes and Landwirtschaftskammer NRW for practical testing.

In a design thinking process, the prototype for the AR tool “Insight Pig” and a tool for preparing theoretical exams for those working in piglet production have been developed. For the first time, those who want to obtain an official license to independently perform castration under isoflurane anesthesia can prepare for the exam online, independent of location and time.
