As a special model plan of the Ministry for Environment, Agriculture, Conservation and Consumer Protection of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia, the project “TriangleNET.NRW” works on developing concepts for a faster implementation of scientific findings from research and development into practical work.

Thus, transdisciplinary networks from state level need to be brought together and need to be developed further by facing the goals of the European F+E-funding for education and innovation for the livestock strategy of the state. This needs an evaluation of existing regional and cross-border networks and a connection of such networks through common cross-sectional topics and forms of network management. The NRW-state livestock strategy looks at agricultural livestock keeping and includes upstream and downstream areas, leading to a look upon whole value added chains for food of animal origin.
