Background

Companies in the agri-food sector as well as consortia of entire value chains are increasingly relying on the integrated implementation of management systems. Integration offers a number of advantages such as clear, coordinated responsibilities and assignment of tasks, transparency and cost optimization. This four-day course enables access to the further education to become food safety and health manager, food chain manager and crisis manager. It teaches competences to integrate elements of different systems such as quality policy, documents, processes, methods and tools, quality, environmental, safety and health management systems into one effective overall system. The aim is to enable graduates to understand their organization as a system, to identify the functions and potentials of management systems and to implement and further develop the integration of management systems.

The focus of competence transfer lies upon methods of process and project management as well as industry-relevant norms and standards. Techniques in quality management for communication, presentation and documentation are taught using practical examples and group work exercises. In addition, the best possible use of tools and methods for setting up, integrating and optimizing management systems is presented. The application of tired and tested tools is taught using practical, operational exercise scenarios. The training is supplemented and deepened by a wide range of seminars offered by several EQA members.
