In the first month of the new year, EQAsce as lead partner of the EIP.NRW-project GeTie has fostered the development of a data platform through several online workshops. The participants analyzed use, chances, costs, and risks of this undertaking moderated by Dr. Harmes-Liedtke from Mesopartner. Participants came from the group of farmers, their customers, and suppliers. The core of the cloud platform is the idea that farmers collect, save and transfer data which is honored monetarily through a marketing concept. The effort shall be paid – by customers and suppliers who want to have or want to use the data. The results of this intense discussion will now be used for the further development of the project: For 2021, the project partners have set up an ambitious roadmap. In the upcoming twelve months, technical and organizational innovations shall be added to the digitalization of the meat value chain.
