For the World Quality Day 2020, EQAsce has stated that quality stays one of the most important factors of success for enterprises of the agri and food sector. The most important quality characteristics that EQAsce bodies and working groups deal with right now are sustainability, animal and environmental protection as well as working safety in times of crises.
Scientists of the thematic university network TUNEQA around the globe appealed to further develop ISO-norms, standards and regulations branch-neutrally. And they called for an international coordination of tailor-made branch-solutions when interpreting standards. With its members, EQAsce works on applying and customizing the Safety-Culture-Ladder-standard to the working conditions of the agri and food sector. Here, the focus lies upon applying the extended infection-protection-law in the corona crisis as well as fostering the digitalization of further education for auditors.
Since 1989, the second Thursday of November is celebrated as World Quality Day each year. It is invented by the European Organization for Quality (EOQ), the American Society for Quality (ASQ) and the Union of Japanese Scientists and Engineers (JUSE). Their aim is to create and sharpen awareness for the relevance of quality all over the world.
