The project of joint effort for animal welfare (GeTie) – lead by EQAsce – has started with the core tasks of the undertaking. Here, all project partners develop communication structures that lead to a single internet platform that can be handled by an app. The developments of the project partner ChainPoint help putting the structures into practice. Jointly with all seven agricultural enterprises involved, this structure will not only be developed, but tested and optimized.
At a web conference, first results have been presented to the whole team and have been discussed. The work up to now consisted of a research of requirements by law, labels, and market partners. All parameters of every stage of the value added chain “pork” build up to the joint effort for animal welfare. Even though the corona pandemic has led to restrictions, the EIP.NRW-project continues almost without any limitations.
