Two works of master students in the field of nutritional science have been priced at Frankfurt. Mrs. Anna Weise from the Technical University of Munich wrote about „Does time matter? Revealing time dependent LC-MS/MS based metabolite patterns of diabetic, prediabetic and healthy humans after an OGTT”. During her work she analyzed about 800 samples. Mr. Nick Metz from the University of Bonn dealt with the topic „What Determines Consumers’ Decisions to Eat Meat Alternatives? An Empirical Analysis Ba-sed on an Extension of the Theory of Planned Behavior“. To work on this theme, he designed a questionnaire and got about 500 people’s answers. He found that the first reason to chose meat alternatives is “health”, whereas “environment” or “animal health” do not play significant roles in this process. Additionally, Mrs. Dr. Carolina Schwedhelm Ramirez from the German Institute for Nutritional Science was honored for her doctoral degree thesis „Nutritional Epidemiology: New insights for meal analysis“.
